I think these are good boots for the sale price - they're comparable in price to other faux leather boots but they're a little more stylish. I have a similar pair from american eagle but they go out of stock very quickly, so when I saw these in black I ordered them right away. they're a matte black, not shiny at all, and they're skinny in the calf/ankle which is great for me. I went down 1/2 size and they still accommodate my arch supports. with my arch supports in, they're super comfortable and the soft faux leather conforms easily to the shape of your ankle. I personally never wear my boots folded down, but the sweater-feel inside is nice. they aren't the best boots ever - the shoe itself isn't sewn to the sole as far as I can tell which concerns me, but most faux leather boots aren't. the zipper seems like it might wear out quickly, so I would recommend lacing them up each time you wear them instead of relying on the zipper. my only real qualm is that the plastic tip of the laces on both boots is cracked so I'm probably going to need to replace them before they get frayed. overall I would say it's a good choice if you aren't willing to pay $100+ for a pair of leather boots.
